Aravali Range story.
Priyanka Patel, a student from Vadodara, decided to take the Ahmedabad to Udaipur Volvo in her 2016 vacations. She had never been able to travel to Rajasthan as she was mostly occupied with her studies and had cousins coming up from abroad on holidays. As soon as she entered Udaipur on her first solo trip, she was taken aback with the beauty of Aravalli Hills.
“Gujarat is a vibrant state with a lot of pop and show, but sadly, there are no hills or mountains in the land. This is my first time where I am seeing the Aravali Range about which I have read a lot in my geography text book. It feels so mesmerising.”

Rohan Nanda, a Bollywood buff from Delhi was in Udaipur in 2019. He had just got over with his 12th boards and was preparing to enrol at a film school in Mumbai. He watched a lot of movies which had been shot in Udaipur and hence wanted to make a short film for his admission procedure. Delhi to Udaipur Volvo was the best option he could find to travel to the city. Rohan Nanda says – “I went to see Ambrai Ghat and trust me that was the most magical moment of my life. I am a real fan of Sanjay Lella Bhansali films and standing at the lake’s end was like living the Ram –Leela movie. I was standing in the middle of the spot where the whole Deepika-Ranbir love affair takes place. It is Udaipur which has made me sure about the fact that there is nothing other than making movies that I wish to do in my life. Whenever I become a director, City of Lakes will be the place where my first project will happen.
Jagdish Temple story.
Kristina John, a PhD scholar from London, was researching spirituality and Hindu religion. The flight had dropped the girl to Delhi airport from where she took the Shrinath Solitaire luxury bus to visit some of the biggest and best temples of Rajasthan. Jagdish temple was on her list as well. Jagdish Temple is a large Hindu temple in the middle of Udaipur in Rajasthan, just outside the royal palace. It has been in continuous worship since 1651. A big tourist attraction, the temple was originally called the temple of Jagannath Rai but is now called Jagdish-ji. Kristina on the way back to Delhi after her darshan mentioned that it was the most serene experience she had ever had. The intricate designs of glass, the luxury of white marble and the enchanting bhajans and artis took her to another world. Moreover, she said that she fell in love with the traditional goodies the old streets had to offer.
The leather bag, silver jewellery, banarasi silk diary, leather jooties and a pair of puppets were now her favourite things which she was taking back home.
